The Wine Scout is going to be on tour this summer! We have dozens of places to see in every one of the regions we'll be exploring. For the early part of June it's the New York City wine experience. Translucent ruby-garnet and fading at the rim a little to a pinkish color so showing maturity at this early stage of the game, but that's a good thing tonight. An interesting wine especially in the context of 2005. Open for business. Nice nose with red currants. Some milk chocolate and more red currants on the palate. Fine tannins and balanced acidity with a good finish. Light to medium bodied. Says 12.5% alch on the label. Good complexity for a $14 bottle of wine. Very flavorful. Dry and stylis...

The Shawangunk Wine Trail's Holiday Event. Receive a SWT souvenir etched wine tasting
glass and a handmade grapevine wreath at the first winery visited and then travel
along the Wine Trail. Then, at each of the next 8 Wineries receive a beautiful,
ornament to decorate your wreath, along with tastings of special Holiday foods and
Wines. You will be assigned a starting winery by the SWT. $25 per person, $40 per
